The website is still very much work in progress.

The best place to see images of the restoration is on our Facebook page, which due to how it is set up, you don't have to be a Facebook member to view it and the photos.

Is the T9 going to get an outing soon? And is there a problem with the U?

No problem with the U, re-entered traffic yesterday after washout. Will probably be 80104 and 31806 for the rest of this week. 30120 is still unavailable as yet.

For those who like their Class 33's, due to a problem with the Class 108 DMU, 33201 will be used every night on the evening DMU diagram, first train 19:15 off Swanage. Certainly seemed to be a couple of people window-hanging on the first one tonight!

I have taken you at your word, Nick, that you will let us know when 30120 will be in service and have therefore not raised the issue on this thread, but I'd be interested to know why it is still unavailable, especially as we're well into the peak season. Are there some mechanical problems to be rectified?

I leave the country briefly, and the 33s come out to play! Hey ho! Any info regarding steam and diesel over the next few days will probably twist my arm into visiting! Thanks as ever.

31806 and 80104 on the daytime service trains, 33201 on the evening trains apart from tomorrow night when it will be 80104 (33201 is on the Bistro service instead).

The main reason 80104 is on the evening service rather than the diner is that me and my oppo quite fancy trying an hourly service with a standard tank!

Thanks! I would love to catch the tank on that service, but have had my pass suspended for that afternoon and evening! I will now be most likely to visit on Sun or Tues.

Very much appreciated. I was going to go home after the 1815 Norden-Swanage, but seeing 80104 on the vice DMU turn rather than the Crompton I stayed until the death(2310).

I'm pleased to hear it! I hope you enjoyed your evening; I know I did! There are few things better than using a Standard Tank for what it was designed for, when your Fireman is absolutely at the top of his game.

You are quite right, I've never seen such quick run rounds.

Good news for the company, but bad news for those who like loco hauled trains.
The DMU is now back in service and working the evening services again.

Yes, sorry for not updating this at the time; unfortunately due to a bit of a shortage of shovel-wielders I've been firing the last couple of days, and Graham's not yet fitted the wi-fi booster to 34070.
