As noted elsewhere, 46233 is down for the first NWCE this Sunday. But wasn't this loco banned from the route last year? If so, what has changed?

46233 ran Crewe to Holyhead and return on 20th September last year. From memory there was some question over a restriction at Frodsham viaduct.

Frodsham is still a problem with 46233.

Leander confirmed for NWCE this weekend, and via Frodsham, also not going into Llandudno.

    Disappointing, but not surprising.

Glad that not any chances are being taken with 6233.

The gauging problems in the Frodsham area have not been resolved therefore it would require t&t diesel to Liverpool and on to somewhere else to do a loco change. Easier to use a loco not affected by the gauging issue.

Should be the first time in a few years that Leander's been seen in Liverpool. Gonna be out for this as it's such a one off special and got a plan sorted out for the day but I wont be revealing details.

What livery does it currently carry? I've seen recent photos in crimson lake and BR black.

It's the colour the owner wants.

Bore off with the livery complaints ! Great to see a, Jube further south !

I Don't think there's a chance of either Jube going south as they are too important to railtours up north & anyway the southerners have 34067, 61306, 60163, 70000, 70013 & when finished 6201 & 34046. With Carnforth the black 5 44932's undergoing overhaul, 5972's off the mainline at Warner Bros for 2 years & 46115 is due out this month for her overhaul as her 7 year ticket runs out this month.

46100 last update iv had is the boiler is back on the loco but it's still not been decided on which heritage railway she will have her running in turn at. Further details on running and photographs of her progress I am not permitted to release.

Well why bother posting that, is it just so you can say 'I know something you don't.' I always thought that sort of thing was left behind with childhood.

Off topic, but 46100 could be seen outside at Crewe Heritage Centre on the webcam this afternoon, complete and fully painted (though possibly undercoat), but no numbers or lining yet.

Hope I'm permitted to release this info.
