    Whenever it happens - if it happens - the installation of a turntable at Weymouth will do so much to make it a more straightforward destination of choice for single locomotive steam charters. But I have a feeling that 2015 might be rather optimistic for this one.

    It would open up trips to Yeovil which would be within the budget of a lot of families.

    Swanage needs to put the Old Oak Common turntable in at Herston, run a service to the Quay at Weymouth to say the Waverley who trips those passengers back to Swanage, whilst those that have come from Swanage on the Waverley go back via train, after the loco has been turned at Weymouth.. What a great day out!

    For me, the prospect of seeing 62005 at the NYMR spring gala, and perhaps for a bit longer thanks to WCR, is a definite positive.
