They were, but supposedly the only facility that’s left that could cast one piece frames is in Kansas City, MO.

Nevermind. At least we have an operable E. Wonder what it would take to build a replica F 0-6-2T?
Now if we can make it full size and operable
I’d probably get flak for this, but how would a new LNWR “Greater Britain” look?[ATTACH]
I’d kinda like to see a SER Crampton run between London Bridge and Ashford via Redhill and Tonbridge.[ATTACH]
That’s a really good question. Possibly the loco could go somewhere in the southeast, where it would be close to original SER metals.
At least they have their own funds to commit to the project.
So how is the Crampton still being built, when there is no publicity to help promote the project to the general public?
And more publicity too.
I was not aware of a new build Crampton until now. Pretty interesting.
So apart from all of these items, all we need is rest of the loco.
Wasn’t the chimney found being used as a fire pit in someone’s back yard?
I do remember 670 got relaunched back in 2019, but haven’t seen any updates as of late.
You mean the Bloomer?
I remember the 77021 project well. They did collect an original smokebox door from a 77xxx, but after that, they went silent.
Also, the LNWR George V group posted on FB that they have moved the loco from Crewe to Keyte Smith Ltd. this past week. [ATTACH]
I have heard the story that a project to build a new Fowler 4-4-0 failed in the 1990’s due to low interest. Would it be possible to try again now...
That’s definitely a good way to honor David.
