    I still have the first 130 issues of steam railway with the first three years worth in binders.
    If anyone wants to take them off me, please PM me so we can arrange a price and collection / delivery as they'll weigh a bit too much for the Royal Mail.

    Interesting articles in them such as
    Definitely no main line steam after 1985.
    Michael Draper demanding in 1980ish that no more locos be bought for preservation nor lines opened as there would not be enough money around to support them all.
    The June 1985 issue with drawings of locos that appeared on the drawing boards, but were not proceeded with; the GWR 4-4-0, Bulleid's 2-8-2 and the original plans for the A4s (another 2-8-2 design)!
