Wanted - A source of a couple of 1" BSP threaded Westinghouse in-line air shut-off cocks. Given to understand that they are fitted for isolating parts of the air system on Class 04 Shunters, possibly other Diesel/Electric classes too.

do you particularly want Westinghouse valves? If you do you will probably have to source them from locos being scrapped. If not, any decent ball valve will do the job. Possibly even a better job. Available from BSS or any valve supplier. Don't buy the cheapest!

Hi Steve. Genuine Westinghouse ones wanted more for originality as they will be visible. Needed for the driving compartments of the ex Egyptian Sentinel railcar set at Quainton. Must be a loco being scrapped somewhere to act as a donor.

Ah! You're working on the Sentinel railcar. Fantastic. I'd love to see that running. Am I right in thinking that it is out of gauge to run on most Heritage Railways?

Afraid so. Certainly on width and possibly on height too. Current status engines and boiler (3-drum Yarrow type) removed, end bogie of power car rolled out and dismantled over this last weekend. A hell of a lot to do yet! Gala event next Sunday (26/10/08) at Quainton, Sentinel Loco 6515 should be in steam amongst others.
