    I don't want an event that appeals to everyone. There's only so many seats in so many coaches on any line. If everyone is crammed like sardines on every train it won't be enjoyable and could be dangerous.

    Really enjoyable 2 days at the gala. Thank you to those who organised and operated the gala. Great to see the volunteers stepping up to clean the coaches after the paid cleaners were let go. Shame some people left all their rubbish behind though....

    I know and accept the operational reasons that the set can't stay like that for the weekend but it does feel a shame. The loco with that set looks top notch. Looking forward to tomorrow and Saturday at the gala.
