    Its going to be Bodmin (numbered as 34073 and carrying 249 Squadron plates) fitted with air brakes, just to throw everyone a curveball! :D;)

    5M50, 5M51, 5M52 paths all activated this morning. 5M53 is not (yet). 48151 coming out on test? 5M50 due off Carnforth South Jn at 11:37. Hellifield 12:53. 5M51 due off Hellifield 13:47. Carnforth station 15:01.

    I'm really looking forward to seeing the return of the Duke this week, and on my doorstep too. Well done to all involved in the overhaul. Checking back through the photo collection it was summer 1990 when I first saw 71000 on the North Wales...

    RTC have confirmed that 34028 will haul both The Varsity Explorer, Slough - Chester, on 25th October, and The Chiltern Explorer, Manchester - Reading, on 1st November. Presumably 34028 will spend the week at Carnforth in between the two trips.
