Ex Army (MOD) Railways driver/fitter on steam and diesel locos. I worked at Marchwood Mil Port from 1973 to 1980. I moved to Zimbabwe and was a steam fitter on Garratts at Bulawayo. Returned to UK in 1984 and became a travelling fitter for the MOD Railways again based at Marchwood, but my job took me to Depots all over the South of England incuding at times to Long Marston to look after and drive Army 98 'Royal Engineer'.......1n 1988 I started work at Eastleigh Depot for BR and moved to New Zealand in 1995. I now work as an engineer, maintaining the fleet of EMU's in Wellington. During the 1970's and mid 1980's I was a driver on the Mid Hants Railway.
