At the end of last year a couple of narrow gauge coaches were given to the Mountsorrel Heritage Centre by the Statfold Barn Railway......

They have now started work on preparing them for use on the line at Mountsorrel but it is thought that replacement wheelsets would be advisable before they can be used to carry passengers.
The furthest from the camera in the photo above has sprung bogies which clearly have "Alan Keef, Oxford" cast into them, so they were obviously purpose built at the time to go under that particular carriage.
The one nearest the camera has a pair of bogies faily devoid of any ID, other than a selection of cast letters which don't seem to mean anything much......

Can anyone identify the source of these - Are they ex MoD/War Department wagon bogies which have been reused on this coach?

Any help would be appreciated - particularly if anyone happens to know where there are some less worn equivalents lying about, unused.....
