Creating a trust

I'm toying with the idea of putting various heritage transport items into a trust. If anyone can point me in the direction of any solicitors that have specialist experience in this field then a pm would be appreciated.

Wouldn’t it be easier to donate them to one or more suitable existing trusts?

 

Not if you have specific requirements for the itmes in the Trust. I have set one up for various items in my care but I'd prefer not to go into details here. It didn't cost much ansd was very straightforward.

Google suggests: You can start a trust online for free using template sites like LawDepot, eForms, or FreeWill, but these often have limitations and are best for simple situations; for complex needs or tax efficiency (like in the UK), you might use online processes linked to insurance/financial products (Royal London) or need to register with HMRC, with many experts recommending a solicitor for accuracy to avoid costly errors and ensure legal validity, especially for UK trusts.

 

Do not do this yourself. Trusts are very fiddly things.
In terms of law firms private client and inheritance specialists are likely to be the way to go.
