Nostalgie Zug Reisen have released a list of tours for autumn/winter 2018, which should be hauled by 01 1104/012 104-6 fresh from overhaul.

    http://www.nostalgiezugreisen.de/projekt-01-1104/

The loco used to be based at Carnforth from 1975-96. Did it see much use there? The only photo I've found of it in steam is https://andrewstransport.smugmug.com/Germantrains/Carnforth-locos-Heilbronn/i-VtdJ4cP/A

The overhaul has been nicely documented on their website.

Should have kept that photo at Dishforth for the Picture puzzle.

Good to see! Along with three others, I baby-sat her overnight in that lay-by. I don't remember feeling so cold before or since!

Well that went well! Mass repeated trespass along the tour route, so tour abandoned and electric loco taking the train back. Must be something about former Carnforth Pacifics that brings out the idiots!

In the past I’ve been amazed at how close people get to the running line but yet trains kept on running. Heaven alone knows how close they must have been to get the job stopped.

At least three times the line was shut due to trespass, so it must've been pretty bad.

Edit - reports of people crossing the track in front of service trains, climbing signal posts and most unbelievably, deciding the best place to take photos is from up an overhead line mast!
