    Sure I have read somewhere that the underframe of one may be used as the basis of the new build LMS 10000 project. Seems they are very similar.

    Not my favourite loco but would be interesting to see one on a heritage line. Didn't a pair go to the P&DR in 1992, along with 5 Hoovers and work alongside the 25? LMS 10000, on the other hand, would be something!
