I find it interesting that far more people say that the Dukedog isn't really appropriate for the Bluebell than the North London Tank. Leaving aside the latter's role in taking up the track north of HK in 1964-5. the engine has no real connection...

Regarding 9017, she's now spent far longer in Bluebell hands than out of them. She's more Sussex than Swindon these days.

Great news. The Swanage Railway is a natural home for the T9. It was disappointing when it moved away in the nineties, so good to hear it now has a long term future there. Also great to hear it’s coming back in SR green rather than BR black.
