    The GWSR Honeybourne line was a late build, one of the last in the country. It is pretty straight and level, meaning long cuttings and long embankments. It wasn't built by men with wheelbarrows ( eg Tring cutting) but by mechanical steam...

    That may be a bit harsh. For the 15 arches the contractor did try and save money, by working with 3 sets of five formers, instead of one of 15. That worked for arches 1-5. When he finished arches 6-10 and moved the formers up to 11-15 the 10th...
