    There will be a legal agreement put in place saying the SR can overhaul it, and have use of it for X number of years. So the NRM won’t be able to simply move it elsewhere, unless there is a serious breach of the terms of the agreement by the SR.

    It’s definitely been stated by people from the railway on here in the past that is the case. A plentiful supply of Bulleids is available from SLL, but that’s not necessarily what the SR would choose to use if they had other options.

    Preumably an additional loco will be needed, especially as they head into the busy summer season. Unless one of their own overhauls is going to be ready very soon!
