Wonderful stuff! It's so good to see an old friend from my days working in Woodham's yard back in steam again.

    Congratulations to all involved.

who would have expected it would be so soon, well done to all concerned, and thanks must go to the Ivatt trust, for saving her in the first place, and to the IOWSR, for allowing her the chance of a working future.

46447 moves under her own power for the first time since 1966, only 99 weeks after arrival at the East Somerset Railway.

My apologies for the average video quality!

Well done to all concerned. Wonderful to see another loco returned to life. A visit to Cranmore is required next year.

Ivatt 45447 is beginning to gain its identity. Today one of the volunteers started to sign-write the cabside number details onto the loco. These have been copied from the original cabside that has been preserved in the locoshed at Cranmore. It will need another coat as the black shows through. Also small "2" to be added above the number.

Another Ivatt to underline! Funnily enough I was looking at the issue of Steam Railway that broke the news of the deal between ESR and IOWSR today, this just shows what can be done when everyone pulls in same direction. Congratulations to you all I'll be raising a glass to you tomorrow at the SVR.

No need for an apology at all imho. Half the video's on youtube look like they have been recorded with a potato, the PIP (picture in picture) makes your video look professional, and the resolution isn't bad at all.

    Thanks for the video!

The completed cabside lining and handpainted numbers.

The front end of 46447, just the red lining on the boiler bands to complete now.

Too much spare time on my hands has led to the production of this poster for the launch event!
