Its a good job that the MHR isnt Peel Holdings, by now they would have claimed 73096 and cut it up and pocketed the proceeds

Popped in to Ropley today. I don't think there's much chance of 1450 being used tomorrow on a photo charter. There wasn't any smoke coming out of the chimney.

Notice from one of the photos that the blue Class37 was in service. Are all three 37's still on the railway, or has 37905 or 37901 left?

The blue 37 had brought the ECS for the RAT up to Ropley. 905 and 901 are still at the railway. The three 37s seem to be used in rotation.

All three class 37s are still on the railway. 37324 was used yesterday to bring the RAT stock up from Alresford to Ropley in the late afternoon. This allows the rostered steam loco to pick up the RAT stock from Ropley for the trip to Alton.

There was talk of 901 going but the move was cancelled. On the diesel front I hear 27007 is making good progress at Medstead. With any luck we could have a mini in house diesel gala in the future.

I hear that they have 6 months to get things sorted........ or off they go, hence the frenzy at Medstead - how much truth there is in that, I don't know - but given the Peak has gone........ never mind how long the 27 has sat around with nothing happening, I reckon there's a grain of truth in there somewhere.........

Christ, I must be ill talking about b b boxes........... nurse, nurse I need me medicine, nurse nurse................

925 on the Belle, Clydebridge and Nelson on the RAT for 1 1/2 trips, then Nellie left all on his own at Alresford before running light loco to Ropley
Must say I rather like the livery on Clydebridge.... d6836 currently sitting in front of Thumper unit, almost over the Jacklyn's lane bridge at Alresford
