7820 ready for loading this evening to depart for the North Norfolk Railway tomorrow. She will be in use from Tuesday next week for a ten day block (plus other days if required) in advance of the gala at the end of August. We are very much looking forward to working with the NNR for the first time. Photos courtesy of Dan Wigg

I purchased my three day ticket earlier today, and am very much looking forward to the Gala. Hopefully the sun will shine like it normally does for this excellent event.

So we could see double heading from both LNER and LMS 4-6-0s...

I'm sure it's been on the mind of the guys re-writing the diagram - fingers crossed!

According to the provisional diagram - your wish will be granted. :)

I'm aware timetables are available to purchase on the day, but does anyone what time trains will start running on the mornings ?

    Thanks..

Have been looking at RTT for a while now for movements to Sheringham for the gala, still nothing showing. I would have expected 45305 and 61306 to arrive over the crossing. Are either already there, or coming in by road? Or are they coming last minute and not scheduled on RTT yet?

61306 arrived last week by road. I understand 5305 will arrive by road tomorrow (Wednesday)

Looking forward to another gala on the footplate, great fun!

    Thanks Steve.
That's a shame driving them there on a lorry when they could have made their own way, assuming they were under the new NR weight limit (should be, surely?)
Oh, and I bet you are!!!

Looking forward to this event - I notice Ring Haw is only now down as spare... just an idea but could she be used for driver for a fiver/tenner, seems to be popular at a lot of other railways/events and could raise money for a last push for the Y14 appeal or towards 90775's overhaul.

45305 would have no problem with weight limit on Sheringham branch - the issue of why it has had to come by road, I understand, lies further north and is the subject of another thread on this forum.

Is it planned for all the engines to work on all three days of the gala?

    Thanks
