Without trying to step on other peoples positions. Anybody have any locations on the OWW for this one? I know of the position at Wyre Piddle but I was thinking more towards the Oxford side of Moreton in marsh.

I know google earth/ streetview is becoming out of date by the day.
There looks to be a patch of clear area just to the Worcester side of Ascott under Wychwood level crossing.

I saw some pics taken near there a while back and it looked viable (might need stepladders though), but have no idea on how bad the greenery has become.
There are very few usable spots on the section between Shorthampton and Shipton. The best place would have been the bridge at Chilson, but Network Rail STILL haven't cleared the huge bush that is nearly hitting trains on the down line and ruining pics taken from the south side of the line

I note that, according to RTT that is, the move around Gloucester Triangle has changed from 5z36 to 0z36.
So an engine only move. Seems logical to me but may put up the back of some passengers who thought they'd be near the noise source for Sapperton!

Don't think it would be that bad, remember the sun will be high by then.

If the sun is out at that time (and so far the forecast for tomorrow is quite cloudy compared with the last few days) the light will be very harsh.

Well if the sun is out, the light will be harsh everywhere at that time of the day!

Yes it will, but backlit in harsh lighting will look far worse than from over the shoulder. I think the optimum sunny shot on the Cotswold line tomorrow might be a more long range side on view.

The quality of light today in Bristol has not been as good as at the beginning of the week.
Tomorrow's forecast suggests even more cloud apart from lunchtime. Rather ironic I suppose. <BJ>

Braunton in fine fettle this morning.
A glorious sunny morn, but getting to warm for any real steam 'effects' by the time she went up Sapperton.
I'll bet a few on board will be wishing for Mk3 Air cons today!

Glorious sunshine and Braunton makes light work of Sapperton.
