    Hello All,

Looking forward to this Gala with guest locomotive Southern Light Pacific West Country Class 4-6-2 34007 'WADEBRIDGE'.

But I'm a bit puzzled and disappointed to see, on the link below to Bodmin & Wenford Railway that shows the Timetable for all three days, that 34007 'WADEBRIDGE' will not be working on her own. Strange???????

Some fairly steep banks, probably for the best...

Well, she did the CVR earlier this year Oop the banks unaided, she does 'the alps' unaided, so something in the T&C's maybe?..............................................

Just what is the steepest grade on the B&W?

On their website it says ruling gradients of 1 : 37 to 1 : 44. But of course it does have a number of curves. West Country & T9 will I'm sure look great. But, West Country & 0298 Class not so sure. Still looking forward to Gala though.

Varies around 1 in 40 as an average and it curves. Not for the faint hearted or an unassisted slippy Bulleid, that's for sure.

I'm not 100% sure but it could be to do with the head shunt at General not being long enough for it? One loco could be on the back rather than double heading to save the run around?

34007 defo won't be able to fit in the headshunt at Boscarne and maybe Parkway/Road?

Same here. I had this one down in my diary, but am not so sure now 34007 isn't running solo. Pity. I was looking forward to visiting this line for the first time in ages,

A nice line up of loco's but the timetable seems quite a late start and early finish for a gala weekend, especially in early May with much longer daylight hours. Looking forward to it though.

Agree that the day's a little short. I'm working in the afternoon so have to leave between midday and 1pm, but will go down early to see the locos come off shed etc before having at least one trip. Intrigued to see if those are all double-headers rather than some top/tail. Definitely attending either way as it'll be novel to see the Bulleid back there and it's only an hour away for me.
