A lot of these links don't work for me, just default to the NYMRS website, probably wait until nearer the time for the loco allocations best bet.

The Fight for Vera Fund would like to announce our first fundraising event of 2014.

The Fund will be running a Pie & Pea Special on Friday 25th April, as part of the NYMR Spring Steam Gala. A percentage of profit from this service will go towards our worthy cause, please do consider joining us for pie and to enjoy our newly branded real ale courtesy of Cropton Brewery - "Vera's Rail Ale."

Tickets for the Pie & Pea Special will be made available for pre order from the shops/booking offices on the NYMR and Whitby station. They are priced at £6.50 per adult.

A separate ticket or valid pass for travel will also be required for this service, a discounted evening fare will be available.

The train will depart Pickering at 1627 & 2035 and depart Grosmont at 1904 & 2210. We will endeavour to inform you of any changes! We would like to thank the NYMR management for allowing us to run this special train to raise funds for our appeal.

Will be going on the first weekend (both Sat 26th + Sun 27th April).
Won't be the same without 92214 (now owned by GCR), but with four Black Fives, Lord of the Isles, Bittern, The Green Knight, Lambton 29 and a Jinty in action; this gala should be a blast!

The timetable for the first Friday is here: http://www.nymr.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/Friday-25th-April-Gala-TT-V3.pdf. But I don't think motive power has been announced and of course is subject to availability.
As a few engines are not staying for 2nd week of Gala I would expect to see them in action first weekend.

There were three black fives, the Jinty and 29 out today, with 62005 sat in the yard at Grosmont.
Trains were well filled too, with the first train to Whitby announced as "standing room only" just before it arrived at Grosmont.

    Both locos required for haulage.
