We've recently run out of wooden sleepers at the C&WR and we need some more - what suppliers can people recommend? Our last supply came from a farm near Didcot that was using them for a silage store - they came out of the DN&S line when it was ripped up in the 60's and were in excellent condition. Do other lines use brand new or reclaimed ones?

We probably only need 100-150 as all our major renewals these days are concretes which we acquired a decent supply of a few years ago from the Cotswold line.

The PW on the NYMR does have a lot of dealings with K Bownes for the supply of sleepers.
We also supply them with some of our sleepers from relays. Mainly concrete BH varieties though.
