Seems the first Whitby service was caped at Battersby due to a "Rail Flaw"

 

Apparently 61264 and support coach have stood in for a Northern Rail DMU on a Whitby to Middlesborough service, pictures on Facebook from the 61264 B1LT page

Anyone know what this move from the WSR to Southall is? Is it worth going to see it later at Twyford?

I think RTT is on the blink or not getting updates, they're on the move. Somewhere near Theale probably.

 

So is 5029 running on time? Should I make my way down to Twyford Station pronto?

 

Passed Twyford bang on time! As a cycled to the station I heard the unmistakable GWR 4 cylinder sound as she opened up to show off for the crowd - nice whistle as well! Fastest trip to see mainline steam ever - was back in the front door less than 10 minutes after leaving! Nice to see steam back on the GWML. Lesson learned - don't always trust real time trains!

Is it true 61264's move was something more than empty stock to Middlesbrough ?
