Although, there is staining on the underside of that roof, so maybe it is ok to run through.

Touche! Ok I'll take that one on the chin. ;-) I am still annoyed that that particular development tries to appear as part of the railway but is actually not related to it - but that is for another thread.
I hope this proves I am not quite as thin skinned as all that.

Sorry no idea who he is. I'm not likely to be privvy to the letter as the paper's circulation doesn't stretch all the way to Nuneaton, and you haven't provided a link? I'm sure if it warrants a repsonse then MCR directors will deal with it.

Clearly Bob you are a local, and presumably you're pro-rail as you post on here, so why not come and join us? As much fresh air as you can handle and we like a good laugh too.

There far more positive letters and responses than there is negative though!

The letter writer seems to know something about railways but shows a lack of true understanding. It would be help all railways inc NR if there was a gold mine in spent ballast. The letter writer is not aware of compaction and contamination. They obviously dont even watch Stobart!

I have however met enthusiasts who think you can run at 25MPH on siding grade rail. Most heritage railways have had to replace rail as ongoing maintenance and if worn out the scrap bin is the best place for it. If anyone wants a discussion on 110lb per yard FB CWR on concrete sleepers rail replacemet lets start a thread in MIC.

I am suprised the papers editor published the financial statements as some were verging on the liabalous. having a separate company set up for an extenson project is sensible. It is the same as KESR and Rother Valley. Many of the names of those involved with Rother valley are well known to KESR.

Like all big plans there is a large lead time between the first ideas and fruition. I wish M&C well

'Clog and Knocker' - you appear to have ignored my invitation to join us? More hands make light work as they as they say?

Sorry Sheff, if you could see the work I have to do at home you might understand why I have no time to do anything else, I have had to turn down similar work invitations from the Foxlowe, so don't take it personally. Believe me there are all sorts of things I would like to do if only I had the leisure.

I have seen other previous letters published in the past from a Mrs Phillips also of Lower Lady Meadows Farm so I would guess they live together. She has complained of line side fires and demanded that the open level crossing leading to their property be up graded. If what Mr Byrne has written is untrue then surely someone should issue a legal challenge - or at least demand an apology.
Are there plans to relay the line soon with 110lb CWR?

Sorry you've lost me there - what's funny about Ralph's request that you write in to the local rag in support of the MCR?

It's not my job to deny allegations in the press as I don't know anything but I am sure somebody from the company or volunteers on this group could say something.

Who said anything about denying anything?
It needs people to support the CVR/MCR rather than let the objectors waffle on, waiting for, and getting, the official response will make readers think that there are only objectors and those who are involved with the railway, they need to see that there are also views from joe public who are in favour.
