    A great pity the news about 1300 running wasn't on the website or accurate on here, I and several others would have been over for a trip.

    1300/52322 left Wirksworth on Monday and is now tucked up inside the shed at Embsay. Subject to a boiler washout and exam it is expected to be running Sat, Sun and Tues.

    I am led to believe Beatrice is the motive power of choice this weekend, with 52322 covering the Tuesday midweek turn.

    What's happening with the prospective extension to Skipton? Always struck me as being something achievable which would bring in more visitors.

    125th Anniversary of the opening of the Skipton-Ilkley Line
    125th Anniversary Weekend Weekend
    Saturday 5th - Sunday 6th October 2013
    Celebrating 125 years of operations on the line.

    Details are coming together for the event which celebrates the opening of the line in 1888 under the Midland Railway to its present existance as the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, with LMS and BR ownership in between as well as its closure under Beeching in 1965.
    Depending on negotiations, 4 or 5 steam locos will be in service with 4 or 5 different trains over the course of the weekend. Trains will run approximately every 30 minutes from both stations, passing at Embsay and Stoneacre.
    Further details will appear here once they are confirmed...

    No idea re what's happening re the extension to Skipton but as Captain Sensible once said 'you've got to have a dream'!
    As things currently stand 52322 is rostered to run this coming weekend, Tuesday and the gala weekend on the 5th and 6th October.

    Locomotives operating over the weekend are:

    Lancashire &Yorkshire Railway A Class No 52322 now in BR black livery;
    Robert Stephenson Austerity 7086 of 1943 ‘Norman’;
    Hunslet 2705 of 1945 ‘Beatrice’ - newly returned to traffic;
    Hudswell Clarke & Co ‘Samuel Fox & Co Ltd No. 20’ - just arrived, on loan from the Llangollen Railway
    Manning Wardle L Class of 1890 ‘Sir Berkeley’ courtesy of the Vintage Carriages Trust, one weekend only, first time in use on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway.

    A frequent timetable of passenger (using a combination of BR MkI and Stately Trains carriages) and goods trains will run throughout the weekend - details will be posted on here as soon as they are available.

    Is there any information available from Embsay about the rostered engines?

    I'd like to visit and travel behind the Lancashire and Yorkshire A class, resplendent in it's new livery..

    Thanks !

    31119 apparently dead, so diesel wise I assume D9513 and/or D5600, plus presumably the A class, austerity and/or Beatrice?

    Only guesswork though!

    Done that. Wondered if "muppet" or other uses still looked on here.
