    Problem with a trespasser being hit by a train at Marsden at 08.30 so we were told, 46233 held at Denton, nothing worked through Standedge tunnel until about 10.00 46233 appeared at about 10.30 at Diggle, an hour late towing 47580 just behind the tender. Unusually the diesel was behind the Duchess on the return instead of the customary tail end. Full dull and rain at Malton and Colton on the return.
