Mk 3 Cortina estate. Belonged to my best mate, went like the wind, did the ton with the throttle pedal pressed down just a 1/4 of a inch.

I doubt anyone would be calling for 1442 to be moved, let alone steamed, unlike 2516, there is usually an operational 14XX somewhere.

I'd imagine 1420 will be back in traffic before 1450's ticket expires, would I be right in thinking 1466 is knackered/down the queue at Didcot ?, seems to have been static for a while now.

Can't say I've seen 42 despite passing near to Tivvy on the M5 at least once a year, in all honesty it's too much effort for a single, sole, static loco.

You sure ?, 3 steam railways easily within an hour of Tivvy and possibly a 4th if Dartmoor can sort themselves out.

Yes, 921 at Snibston Discovery Museum, still with 921 on her rear bufferbeam as applied by Caerphilly works in 1924.

Margaret is on my "to see" list... Dad saw it when Zammits had it at Kidwelly in the late 60s, old man Zammit charged him, Mum and some friends 2 and 6 to see it!

Bearing in mind 1442 is in a museum and on active display she must be seen by many more people than the barry wrecks languishing in pieces in various yards. If those people are different to the normal run of railway enthusiasts isn't that a good thing rather than a bad one?

Went there earlier, it's a lovely engine! Was there a maker's plate on the back of the cab?

There was, we always kept it in store, until the engine went on display.

Typing "921 snibston" and "1378 margaret" into Google should do the trick.
