Here is 45627 Sierra Leone at Preston in the summer of 1965 on a summer extra [not sure what service the reporting number indicates].You will find a photo of 45694 Bellerophon in the same gallery as seen on the same day.

Zenfolio | Mick Pope - Railway Related | British Railways Steam in the 1960s - Monochrome Gallery | 'Jubilee 45627 'Sierra Leone' on a summer extra at Preston 1965

45647 Sturdee was a regular performer on the North Wales Coast in the Summer of '65 working the Leeds - Llandudno service[I think]. I had seen her a little earlier at Wrexham working a Paddington to Birkenhead train when she was pretty grubby - not sure where she was allocated then as I don't think she was one of the ex-Barrow Hill ones that moved to Shrewsbury. However when she went to Farnely Jct she was bulled up rather nicely and was something of a celebrity in the style of Alberta and the other last survivors.

From RCTS publication 'The Jubilee 4-6-0's:

The storage of Jubilees surplus to requirements was initiated by the Eastern Region when, on 7 May 1961, Millhouses shed placed 45576 in store for a month until the start of the new timetable. This was to be followed by 45602 and 45654 in September when the winter timetable commenced. Both were available for the Christmas period but on 31 December 1961 Millhouses was closed completely and its allocation dispersed to Canklow and Doncaster. The twelve Jubilees that were allocated to Canklow shed were eventually placed in store at Staveley, both the Midland and Central sheds being used, in company with four Royal Scots and a solitary rebuilt Patriot.

Late 1962 saw six of Canklow's Jubilees dispersed to re-enter traffic, 45602 moved to Newton Heath, 45590, 45607/54/64 to Agecroft and 45627 to Bank Hall. The other six remained in store until 17 June 1962 when they were all tranferred to Sheffield Darnall (Chris Hawkins' Book of the Jubilee 4-6-0 lists these six as 45570/76/94 45656/83 45725).

(45602 and 45705 were the only two Jubilees to ultimately elude me).

Yes I am an active volunteer
Thanks for the info. I have been doing some further investigation myself. Two of the Scots, 46147 and 46148, were transfered to the LM Region. The locos that were in store at Staveley G.C. were 45536, 45576, 45683 and 45725. 45570, 45656, 46151 and 46164 ended up being in store at Darnell. There is a question mark about what happened to 45594, because it is undelined in my Combined, whereas 45570, 45656, 46151 and 46164 are not. The locos stored at Staveley remained in store there for at least a year after withdrawal in December 1962.
