Photopic web site open again to retrieve photos

Hi everyone,

Anyone else on here received an e mail from Photopic web site saying they can now go back on to the web site to retrieve their photos. I'm sure there must be a few people on this forum that will be over the moon about this.

 

I read elsewhere that they are giving people access to the site in alphabetical order of their Fotopic username. A sensible move if you think of the number of people involved and the amount of data being downloaded.

I never used Fotopic, but can you download just the photos, or can you get the captions too?

And the P's - pity I've spent the last year rescanning 2,000 plus photos for Zenfolio!

 

Not heard any thing yet. Are they going by e-mail address or user name in alphabetical order? May have a long wait!

Received mine yesterday but when I have logged on and am given the option to download all I see is a broken picture frame so presumably my pictures are lost. Good job I backed up before I posted

I haven't had an email yet, I also checked my spam folder as well.

 

Although all my pictures and captions were backed up, I thought I'd try the download to see if it worked and I did this yesterday. I logged on ok. It's possible to view your photos but some of my collections would not display. I used the download option and Zip files were produced. I downloaded these to my PC and expanded them but a quick check showed not all my photos were included.
