There are still some available and if you turn up at the event today or tomorrow, please ask at the Llangollen Ticket Tent to book your slot.

Hoping for a drier day today!!

Received a text after 11pm last night from friends who were at the Gala. Trains 103 mins late by that stage. Suspect something failed, but don't know what yet, as I haven't received a reply.

Cant comment on that but things were within 15 mins or so up to 18.00. As I said its a great event and if things are a few mins out so be it, the connections were all in place so if you have gone for a day out its not that big a issue.

We were on the last train, Britannia. Arrived back in Llan at 00.15 instead of 23.05.
We came to a stop before Berwyn tunnel towards Carrog because the Brit lost steam after filling with water. We were probably held about 20 mins.
Great atmosphere but a later night than planned! Slowly waking up this morning.

A bit late in the day to be asking before going tomorrow, but there's a couple of questions im struggling to find answers to if anyone would be kind enough to help me with:

1 - Are there any alterations to the Timetable for Sunday 29th ?, I can find Sidmouth's post referring to Friday & Saturday, but nothing for tomorrow, so am I to assume it's unaltered ?.

2 - How much is the Freight supplement ?, and do you pay at the Llangollen ticket office when buying a normal ticket or bording the freight ?.

No changes to Sunday as far as I've been informed.

£5 and you pay on the Brake Van

If your around Carrog in the afternoon may see you there. Going to meet up with 6880 gang and have a brew with a few friends too. :)

We were camped at Llan, got breakfast at the station and went back to pack. Got soaked through to our underwear so called it a day.
We have had a great time though!

While at the station we heard the 10.30 was cancelled. Does anyone know why?

Someone told us on the train behind 828 at Carrog that Britannia had brake problems on the engine and was announced failed at that period of time

I only just saw this, you put your pint down on our table to photograph your young lady with the dog. So a retrospective "hi" to the three of you!
Great day out, and we even had a couple of hours sunshine in the morning.

Any reports on how the final day of SSS3 went.

The weather/rain radar imagery today looked horrendous in the Llangollen area, much worse than in Swindon which has been really awful all day.

According to the TT posted by lil bear, the Cavalcade should now be history and the final train of SSS3 just departed Berwyn for Llan.

Does anyone have any decent pictures of the Morris Sentinel out on the road yesterday (as opposed to in the field at Glynduf or the yard at Carrog) that they could let me have copies of please?

PM me so I can send you an email address if you have.

    Cheers
