Over the mantlepiece I have a print of Eric Bottomley's The Wicker Arch, Sheffield - the gateway to my home town.

    http://asp.kandles.co.uk/acatalog/TheWickerArch_250.jpg

Waiting on the arch is ex L.N.E.R. B17 class No. 61626 Brancepeth Castle in 1953. The following year saw this part of the line between Sheffield Victoria and Manchester electricfied. Standard tramcar No. 253 waits along with car No. 189 build in 1934 and now reserved at the National Tramway Museum, Crich, Derbyshire.

I have a Hawkins print of a Jersey Lily in full GCR splendour on shed, flanked by two J11s, in the hall, and innumerable prints in rolls and under mattresses awaiting their time to shine. I also have two pencil drawings of an original spec. SR Light Pacific on shed and an A1 or A3 at speed in a shallow cutting at the top of the stairs.

Not on my wall exactly, but in my garden, and on its walls, several repro travel posters and enamel ads.

AN excellent bolt hole with extensive views over the fields behind and kitted out with everything a man could desire (well almost ;) ). Double glazed with a stove too, so a shed for all seasons :)

Yeah - knocked it up one weekend when I was bored ;)

OK, all I actually did was dig out the foundations and then paint it, mind you that was no mean feat!

It's one of Martin Prior's @ Buildings Bespoke

He also produces full scale versions for several heritage lines.

I guessed it might be. I've been perusing Mr. Prior's website along with tracksideltd and gaslamps today...the garden may be getting a groundforcing in the next year or two!

To try to drag the thread bock on topic, (He said enviously) IMG_0815.JPG has graced the chimney-breast at oddsocks towers since about 1975.

  20. No railway pictures in the house, but above the desk in my study is a fully restored and working 4 character headcode panel from an AC EMU. I tell people its a calendar. Today's headcode is 4.16
