The unit on the fast was struggling to get past I think!

Tangmere departed the Winchfield water stop 8 late,47 on back giving some assistance. Delayed stopper was on its tail so guess they needed to get a move on

 

Tangmere arrived at Poole early this evening and was away to Swanage at 2109 about 5 minutes ahead of the SWT that was due to overtake the special at Bournemouth. Glad I went down early! Nice clean steady start away DH

 

Heading for home at Winchfield:

 

I video'd Tornado at Hanwell, and Tangmere near Hounslow (up) and Bollow Lane level crossings (Sth Acton) in the dark (down).

Nice report although the picture is actually of the corresponding train two years ago when it ran into Waterloo - Mel Cox was the driver on that occasion too.
