Yes when it is made in a negative or derogatory fashion being accused of whining or wanting a "steam fix". Makes it sound if I am taking something I shouldn't.

It went through Fleet on time this morning but, as Bittern had both tenders on, they cut out the water stop at Winchfield.

If you're not interested in Boxes then skip to around the 2 minute mark. Also thanks to the person who submitted the Fleet RTL update :) Thanks.

Buseng, since you wish to do this in public, let me respond and, perhaps, placate you a little.

I mentioned you as an example of someone who often complains when locos or whatever are changed at short notice. You are not the only one, I know, and not the worst, but I'm afraid that's how many of your posts come across, including your contribution to this thread (#83) - which is why you came to mind. If that's not what you intend, then I'm sorry.

As for getting one's "Steam Fix" at the lineside? Well, I haven't seen a post from you that implies that you are either a steam tours passenger or a volunteer for a preservation society. You wouldn't deny that you have been quite outspoken about not wanting to travel on mainline tours, would you? You post a lot of video and pictures of passing trains. Was it such unfair comment? You'll note that I include myself in this group (though I'm also an infrequent volunteer on the MHR).

I didn't imply that you were disparaging UKsteam. The post I quoted wasn't yours, and anyone reading the thread would, I hope, not jump to that conclusion.

It was my post that was quoted several times, even though it wasn't my intention to disparage UKSteam as I've found it a godsend over the years & I was educated on how UKSteam works, which is why we join forums like this to learn from more experienced people who are in the know & I thank those more experienced people for making this forum such an interesting & more often than not welcoming forum, unless you occasionally post a post that could have been worded better thus doesn't come across how you meant it & you get people jumping down your throat. You live & learn, can we let this lie now & get back on topic please, thank you

    Nice pics thanks Ron 45669

First time I've seen a very blue steam loco with two tenders passing at speed through Branksome. Sounded good coming over the viaduct too! All in a bit of sunshine as well, could almost think it was summer.

Over top of Parkstone Bank at 1733 with 37516 leading and with 60019 banking enthusiastically and whistling happily to the linesiders. Unexpected bonus !! DH

Just had RTL update - left Southampton 1830, which is only 12 minutes late so not bad at all.
