    Back to topic..

I'm not sure what can haul this if 6024 can't do it ?

This weekend is Tyseley openday (so 4965, 4936, 5029, 5043, 70013 and 6201 are out), WSR has 60163 then 4492, 70000, 71000 are out for repairs.
This leaves.. 48151, 34067, 35028 all round London... of which I couldnt imagine they would be practical options.

Since the TOC is DBS the loco will have to have air brakes.

Sorry, I thought OP was referring to Sunday just gone when it was not scheduled to run. I didn't realise there was/is a problem with the 26th

Just spoken to the Torbay people (as we were booked on this run) and they have confirmed that it is cancelled =[ . They have put a letter in the post today explaining why. Will book for another date though :)

Was it loco shortage or lack of bookings?

does anyone have an update on the damage to 71000 . It was suggested that she was priming and damage was caused to two cylinders (Railway Herald I think) . 71000 website hasn't been updated yet

Was it loco shortage or lack of bookings?

Letter came today from TE ltd explaining that it was locomotive related as opposed to lack of bookings or anything else. They didn't think it was appropriate to run it diesel hauled. They are offering transfers to another tour.
Given the time that they were aware of the problem I think they made the right decision. It must be quite tough for tour operators and loco owners/support groups when these things happen though.

They approached "Lizzie" but she is busy. What is wrong with 6024? I noticed a change of directorship with Torby company.
