Thanks its nice to see our work praised theres a lot of work that went into this paint job, at least you cant see the logo underneath, unlike a certain blue A4 and a mension has to made to Meg for lining out, and also for chris and Harry who helped to get the engine cleaned so that re painting could start

Also Mercia was out on test today, she made it up the hill with a brakevan in tow, it was quite a sight actually, seeing a very small 0-4-0 dwafted by the brakevan and just to confuse you further, her whisle sounds like that off an A4

Why has a blue A4 got a KESR logo underneath?

sorry should have been clearer, if you look at 60019 that has just been repainted, you can still clearly see the BR toten on the tender

Marcia's test was successful so she should be at Tenterden for all three days of the gala.

However, Austerity 23 won't make it so we have the same steam loco line up (but very different timetable and diagrams) for all three days.

    Steam locos now scheduled to be:- 12, 14, 65, 1638, 3717, 5753, 32670 & 32678

Class 33 D6570 works two trips on Saturday and Wittersham Road - Northiam shuttles on Sunday
Class 03 D2023 is station pilot at Tenterden on Monday

Does this now mean that the loco allocations are totally different from the diagrams I have just paid for and recieved by e-mail from the railway? Because it certainly reads that way! Some clarification would be nice please.

You are lucky, I received a corrupt file( neither PDF or Excel) that I cannot read on Wednesday, and am waiting for a new one. Two emails sent, one to who and recieved the file from, the other through the website

Without seeing what you have been sent, it's impossible to say but updated versions have been supplied to the office staff. Saturday's diagrams changed very little - basically 14 is covering 23. On Sunday 23 wasn't booked to run anyway so that hasn't changed at all. More changes were needed for Monday so if you have been sent a timetable showing 23, then I'd suggest you contact the office tomorrow and ask them to send an updated version.

Alternativly, if you turn up at Tenterden with the copy you were sent then we will swap it for you. Either speak to the staff in the Station Masters office or, better still if it's Saturday or Monday then ask for the controller or shunter and we will sort you out.

Sorry what you have been sent is incorrect but, as stated earlier, 23 has had to be dropped owing to a fault that it has developed that we are unable to repair in time.

I will not be working at the gala, as I'm not needed. Time to get some administration work done!

Nice shots, I saw you by the river as I was leaning out the window of the last coach of City of Truro first train of the day as it was standing room only! I am about to go through my effots from a very nice day.

Well, it wouldn't be a good gala without some delays. Did you hear/see USA 65 flattening the banks at Tenterden and Wittersham - that was a tremendous noise!

Apologies about the heavy watermark, there's nothing I can do about it at the moment!
