The Working Timetables for the event will be available from the K&ESR online shop http://kesr.org.uk/acatalog/The_Great_K&ESR_GALA_2010.html as a PDF download at a cost of £2 at some point over the next few days. The Gala Programme will also be available from the online shop shortly. While visiting the online shop you can also buy advance tickets and book yourself an evening fish and chip supper which will be hauled by 80072.

An A4 publicity poster for the K&ESR Gala is available by clicking here http://kesr-operating.org.uk/A4 Poster3.pdf

If you can print off and display one (or as many as you can print!) at your local club/pub/workplace or anywhere you can legally put one you will be helping to ensure the Gala is a financial success. Many thanks.

For those interested in making the most of the bus link from Headcorn on the Sunday & Monday, the details are available here...http://www.kesr.org.uk/downloads-section/category/19-2010-gala.html
You'll also find the public tt for the gala. The working TT will be available shortly, we're just trying to get the size of the document right so that it can be read. It will feature locos and train formations, and for that reason will have a small fee attached, but will be well worth it if you want to plan your day!

For those intending to tavel by car to the Gala, please note that there is very restricted parking at Northiam because of the toy & train fair on the Sunday/Monday. If your coming from the South Coast then park at Bodiam Castle (Small fee payable to the castle) and then use our frequent free bus servcie to the station to catch your train!

Only a few days to go now, visiting loco's should be turning up in the next couple of days and the atmosphere is building, should be a cracking event.

Is there any chance of Marcia being in steam? She must be nearly ready, although with 9 other locos on duty I accept it might be hard to fit another one into the roster!

Marcia is not planned to operate at the weekend as there are still a few outstanding jobs before she is commissioned, it is possible that she may be steamed in Rolvenden yard at some point. Can't promise anything though.

I have arrived at Northiam and I am staying at the Rother Valley campsite.

Anyone thinking of coming down and camping I would certainly reccomend the site.

    Link:-

    http://www.rother-valley.com/

For anyone who may not have a tent and all the rest of the gear at the moment there is a 4 berth tent available already set up on site complete with all equipment. Just bring your sleeping bags!

Contact details on the link above and speak to Jackie.

See some of you about, Neil.

She sounded very nice on her test run this afternoon.

Three days of varied operation planned and I think we've now berthed everything in the right place ready for kick off tomorrow!

Thanks Pete - I hope to get down on Monday and sample all the other delights. I look forward to some other day soon seeing Marcia hauling 'something' (how much can she pull up a hill I wonder?) up Tenterden Bank.
