    It's test running after the bogie being out etc and winter maintenance, was in steam at York today for boiler exam and the VAB. Very distracting during my World Class Customer Service seminar!

    I don't mean for this to sound confrontational, because it wasn't meant in that way at all. But what makes Tornado different in that she requires a test run after maintenance but Clan Line for example runs out of the box after maintenance? I'm assuming it's because of her being a new build. Or maybe it's the owner's prerogative to make sure she's in A1 condition (Sorry, couldn't resist)

    I understand that Tornado has had a full valve and piston exam this winter after her first full season, so quite a lot has been apart for inspection. Therefore a test run, to check all is in order, is an obvious precaution with the Royal duties next week. Anyway there would no doubt have been one whatever the circumstances.

    And to answer you comment Matt, Clan Line did have a test run after its bogie had been out, it went light engine back to Stew Lane so that constituted the test run..

    Yeah,i had my own camera directly underneath it lol.

    That curve is better in the summer mornings as the sun is at a different angle ,very quiet area too.

    But yeah,i might go there in an evening sometime for steam going towards Leeds. I did for 70013 last year but it pi**ed it down! Nothing unusual there then!
