As a serious suggestion is it something to do with the 50th Anniversary Celebrations like a confirmed locomotive guest list. Is that Bluebell News out now if so i have to wait for mine

David Chappell , volunteer on the p/way gang has just posted on Bluebell Yahoo group that class 2 78019 from the GCR is coming for the Branch Line weekend, and that while the line is closed north of Horsted for work on the tunnel.

During that time timetables from the 70,s and 80,s will be in force with Brake Van rides up to Horsted House Farm.

I would just like to say to David well done for publishing his railway and not pilloried as he states he has from Bluebell officials and those with their heads in the sand . perhaps those that think the Bluebell management can do no wrong will think twice before opening their gobs and realise that their are always two sides to everything?

But of course one has to be a reasonable and honest person to do that, and before some of you jump the gun , my statement is in no way directed at anyone, this is just my opinion.

    Regards
    Chris

Is that it? And here was me hoping the tyre mine under the tip had spontaneously combusted and vaporised it!

78019 is not major news, this was already being mooted back in November when 30777 failed. Still it will be nice to have a Std 2 for our Branch Line w/e and one loco I will certainly be looking forward to photting as I've never seen this engine in steam before. I guess it was just wishful/hopefull thinking that some rich individual had stumped up the entire cost of the tip removal and that we might actualy be able to runs trains up to E.G next year.

Hopefully they'll now realise what smashing engines these are and decide to restore 78059 properly instead of messing about with it... ;-)

Remember as well that 78019 is not the first of the class to run on Bluebell metals
78022 did so some years ago

You did not quote the very interesting part of the message David sent to the Bluebell group...

"Finally perhaps the people on this list [Bluebell Yahoo] who have telephoned me at home, sent me private insulting messages on and off group would like to apologies in public, the least you can do (not holding my breath though)"

No wonder they kicked you out of the Bluebell Railway preservation society...

    Regards,
    Tom

So the practice of Bluebell Yahoo Group members bullying and harassing dissenters continues does it? Many years ago I was a member of the Bluebell Yahoo Group and was one of the dissenters over an issue of the day. I was sent any number of poison pen emails, off list, from members of the group. I took them to the police who told me that the best thing to do was to unsubscribe from the group. If the emails continued afterwards they would take action. I unsubscribed and the emails stopped.

It was because of this incident that I am now anonymous on NP, but there was an interesting sequel. Unfortunately I cannot say what the sequel was because it might just break my cover!

    Sorry and regards

I know what that sequel was Orion, however out of respect for your privacy and yourself as a man I will not divulge any more.

Suffice to sat though that since I found out about this, suprisingly you are not the only one.

    Thank you for your post.

    Best regards

Sorry, but what on earth is the point of this thread????

what is the point in saying that the bluebell is about to release some news, and then expect people not to say??????????????

is this just for bitching purposes?

I thought that railways were meant to be fun!

The prospect of a light mogul on a country branch line seems more like it.

Then why entitle a whinge 'Good news from the Bluebell'?

  20. And nobody is forcing you - or anyone else - to yet again blurt tedious Bluebell-related pissing, whinging and airing of dirty laundry all over the National Preservation forum.

Why don't you children all just run along and play nicely? Or at least lock yourselves in a room together to do your bickering in private, while the rest of us discuss stuff that actually matters?

Get real? I think you'll find it's those doing all the juvenile moaning and squabbling that need to do that.
