It's ugly enough to make me want to give up railway photography. The 70s may be powerful and efficient but who the heck approved such a pig ugly design? Were the FL board members all drunk at the time?

Their excuse will be that it does what it was designed to do....

Looks to me like they tried to recreate a class 58,and failed......badly!

Just noticed the fans(?) boxes sticking out of the side of the roof, just looks like they drew it in 5 minutes, its awful!

It is a crossing,it has 4 points to view from,a very quiet one at that, although i passed a Horse walking up the path!!!

from the other side of the crossing: http://mark-walker.fotopic.net/p61394949.html

It's only usable in the winter,in the summer it gets like this!!!!!:

http://mark-walker.fotopic.net/p51144678.html (I was stood to the left of the gate today, there is a corner spot in next to the fence....)

and here you can see why its only a viable shot in the winter!!! http://mark-walker.fotopic.net/p51144689.html

    I don't trespass....never have,never will.

    Cheers,
    Mark

Its a pretty shocking and ugly looking design as there are bits and pieces sticking out all over the place. As Spamcan 81 says, they must really have been all drunk at the time of design aproval.

Did i read somewhere that they had been already nicknamed as the 'predator' class due to their ugly looks?

OK I might be off the wall with my nickname thoughts for this...

they do have something in common with the muppet that lives in a garbage can.
