And the reason for ending this thread is that it comprises just 2 posters (if indeed Triassic and Renovater are different) voicing negative feelings. After X hundred posts isn't the majority view clear.

Nothing's perfect. Yes the WHR has a future, Yes the WHHR has a future. Whether they have a future together or apart remains to be seen.

However, this thread has ceased to add anything.

I have changed the title as suggested.

I have moved a number of posts to the recycle bin in the mods area and reopened the thread.

Thanks for your patience and please carry on posting info that is relevant rather than sniping, insults etc.

If anyone would like any post reinstating please contact myself or other moderators.

    Neil.

Just how much more provocative does he need to be to get banned? its a nice idea changing the title but lets be honest that isnt the reason why this thread needs constant moderation is it...

In news that people might actually want to read, double Fairlie Merddin Emrys and single Fairlie Taliesin are headed for the WHR for a photo charter this month. The first time Merddin has visited the WHR since it was used for bridge deflection tests on the original WHR.

The sight of a double Fairlie working hard up through the woods above Beddgelert would surely inspire even the most trollish of our members.

Could it just be because a smaller type of loco was mentioned and not the Magnificent and Majestic Garratts, which in my opinion and that of many others, look superb with their long trains of assorted stock. Have you ever seen them in South Africa where in some places the scenery is much like parts of North Wales?
I know lets get a 2-8-2 Baldwin from Patagonia, now that would be a sight to see and hear.

Now if you'd said that about this Simplex, you would even have had Andrew agreeing with you...

Andrew has been rather naughty here... :smt018

This is a PRIVATE photo-charter organised by and for Bob Branch - as such no further information will be/should be released, to protect the interests of those who have actually PAID to participate.

Anyone wanting any further details should contact Bob Branch...

Unfortunately, I don't have the contact details to hand, as the 'Boss' likes to keep those close to his chest!

...that said, im sure if using ME on the 1 in 40 works out ok we'll see something similar at the next (superpower?) gala - blasting around the s-bends behind a double fairlie in 2010? Here's hoping!

Au contraire, I was merely observing that ME and Tal will be travelling to the WHR for the charter. The paid for bit doesn't include moving the rolling stock to the WHR, does it?
