What’s going on with Lizzie or the rest of the WCR fleet is really none of our business, just be thankful at some time in the future the big red beast will be back. A few years ago the future was looking very bleak.

 

Not strictly true in the case of 6201 John as there is a Society of supporters and active public fundraising so there are people with a "right to know" in a sense.
I was simply responding to the earlier enquiry from the night owl anyway.

I agree there isn't any obligation to share information outside the two organisations.
On the other hand there's no escape from curiosity and speculation given it's a forum for enthusiasts as well as the wider railway press interest to feed.
No different from football fans speculating about who their clubs might sell and sign I suppose. In both cases news will reach the public domain when the respective parties are ready and not before. If you want to know sooner join PELS or offer your services to CRRES/WC.
