    Is that confirmed? If so that's very unfortunate indeed and a real kick in the teeth for the passengers. WCRC really are letting their tour organisers down.

    I think you are being overly dramatic . Could quite conceivably have had to be Diesel hauled due to fire risk . The loco situation isn't ideal but even if the full WCRC pool could be utilised there may still be availability and gauging issues to preclude them . I'm sure RTC and WC will look after the passengers and give them an enjoyable day out

    I'm with @Sidmouth on this. Some tours recently have been diesel hauled because of fire risk, and some haven't. Even if a suitable steam loco had been available for this particular trip, someone booking the trip would have been taking pot luck whether on the day they would get steam or diesel.
