I thought they were fairly ‘steamless’ at the moment. Strategic Reserve?

 

Well there is a water stop at Hellifield in the schedule, but will more than likely be ecs from Sunday's Waverley, unless they have a fit steam loco!!

 

All the paths are in for moves from Carnforth to the NRM on Friday and the tour on Saturday, using the generic 715 tonnes/60mph steam timings with appropriate water stops. RTC still saying steam from Hellifield, times are 60mph throughout indicating no loco change en route.

 

Looks like a diesel on the front of Tornado today, light engine working from Toton to Litchurch lane arriving 11:00am

5Z42 on Saturday (not Friday) was put in the system on 05/07.

5Z45 on Friday is for the Northern Belle (and timed at 95mph).

It was, 66068 and Tornado, no support coach etc, Sherburn in Elmet this lunchtime.

 

Because the support coach is still in Scotland ?

 

i believe it was taken to NYMR by road last week

 

I read somewhere it had been moved to the NYMR, but I’m sceptical, unless the bogie repairs were already complete, or it’s gone by road?

Yes it has gone to the NYMR arrived last Thursday.
I believe the wheelsets have been swapped and now waiting for a wheel lathe session somewhere.
