Is D821 the last announcement? the 'more to be announced' seems to be removed on the website but also didn't see anything saying it would be the last announcement.

Also do we know the home fleet line up yet?

 

D821 is the last announcement.
The previous post on Facebook about the Class 46 stated that the next visiting loco announcement would be the final visiting loco:

There is still one (maybe 2) to be announced yet
Home fleet 99% Lion won’t feature sadly, despite good efforts getting it back together it still needs some electrical adjustments on the gens which is yet to be done and I won’t rush it back to potentially fail during the gala for lack of shakedown running.

both 20s and 47 are serviceable so will feature all being well.

 

Around the railway, we will be showcasing 10 breweries from the South, with up to 35 different ales. There will also be a variety of local ciders to purchase at Ropley Station.

Alresford Station Forecourt will be hosting some of our most local ale, courtesy of The Flower Pots Brewery.

Ropley will present a variety of seven different breweries in the picnic area, as well as a selection of ciders at the Cider Junction.

Medstead Platform will be working with Triple FFF Brewery to bring you a selection of their ales and offers linked to their brewery, just a stone’s throw from the station.

In addition, our travelling Real Ale Bar will have an Alfred’s Brewery ‘take over’, with several different brews on board.

We will be operating a token system to purchase your pints. These tokens can be bought at all Ticket Offices and commercial outlets.

All pints will be £4.50!

Allocations will come in due course once everything is finalised

 

Any idea when the allocations will be added? For the first time ever I will be attending a diesel Gala in my old age! Better late than never I suppose. Not that far to drive but I will be getting there by trains and buses as I need a second man (person) with me now and my long suffering wife is on a rest day.

We’re still waiting on a yes for another loco and we’re not sure what it’ll be.
once we know what then the diagrams can be adjusted to cater for what it’ll be.

 

So is there one last possible visitor to announce or two to possibly announce (and awaiting news on the last to announce both and issue rosters ) please ?

 

We’ve asked for 2, but more than likely only one will show.

 

Scrap that. A better chance of it being 2 now!

First of those has jus gone live. Many thanks to Freightliner who will be sending us a Class 70, a first for the line!

 

Someone at the gala planning team has been in my head! I had been hoping for a Western, Warship & 70 since the previous gala!

 

Can we confirm if the express on the timetable will be a longer set as per the steam galas? Or just a normal length set running non-stop?

 

For me a Hymek would be perfect
