Only 92134 (92079?) significant visitor for me, I think the old Furness loco and the industrial in purple doesn't quite hit the mark for my taste.

I think the 'other two' would be perfectly okay for the small engine weekend, but we are all entitled to our own tastes and opinions.

Is the Jinty facing Heywood, and which way is the 9F expected to face?
    Thanks

Thanks Lee, interesting combinations of a bunker first Jinty piloting the two big machines at various times!

If you look at the updated timetable document (https://www.eastlancsrailway.org.uk...-ELR-October-Steam-Gala-Public-Timetables.pdf) it now shows that the only smokebox to smokebox run is on Sunday and only between Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall, the rest are banking (or one bunker to bunker with 752 on Friday).

Thanks for heads up, obviously changed since I last looked, makes more sense on the back, especially if being dropped at Rammy.
Have a good event if you are going, look forward to your videos.
    Thanks Harold.

Sunday morning 92134 takes the early parcels to Rammy, 47298 brings it back. No mention of how 92134 gets back to Bury for the 10.00 departure to Rawtenstall, unless I am going blind! If it's on the back of the parcels it's a 5 mins hand over at Bury, bit tight.

A little confused by the safety notice on the website. If the railway does not want people to put heads or arms out of the windows in case they are forced to fit bars, then is the situation not the same has having bars anyway?
I guess there may be some cost in fitting bars they may be avoided, or am I missing something obvious?
