Thursday is largely the same as the spring, which did work on the whole, with some slight alterations and the DMU doing some stuff south of Highley providing a bit more of a service at that end, good stuff.

Thursday is indeed the same as Spring, and probably not too dissimilar to the Autumn of last year.

We’ve found with the Thursday we can make it work with almost any combination of engines. It’s cost effective to run, on what is generally the quietest day, but also provides value to those who are wanting to attend the day.

Thursdays of the future galas will likely not be too dissimilar

45596 arrived yesterday. It'll be in use Friday and Saturday (footplate experience and service train respectively).

No. 2999 and 13268 facing North. The rest South.

We haven’t got much option this year due to various factors either before or after the event.

A heads up at Kidderminster Harriers will be playing at home on the Saturday of the gala so it might be busy around in the afternoon.

Any thoughts if there is likely to be any carriage set details attached to a public timetable, or is this likely to only be available on the day when buying the WTT?

I have asked the question and I will let you know. Nothing has yet been mentioned about publishing it in advance, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen.

Slight ammendment to the loco directions as of this morning…..

    13268
    4930

    SOUTH
    44932
    45596
    L&Y Tank

Response has been received….As normal with Autumn Galas we sell the WTT Booklet at £7.50 a copy whilst stocks last. So as such the WTT will not be published as a free to download job.

Thanks. Understand - you can't include everything else it would become the WTT! I'll be sure to get there early.

So if I catch the first train from Bridgnorth on the Thursday, that being the 9.30am local, I then have near 1.5hrs at Highley before I can get a train to Kidderminster arriving at 12.10. That seems a long time. In my case I can alter my plans but would have thought the 9.30 could at least have been a through train the full length of the line.

Hi, Feedback noted and it is something we can look at for future Thursdays

However what I would say is being a preview day, we also use it to position locos/stock, and as such the start of day can often be unusually slower than a regular gala day.

The 0930 local off BH cannot be full line as it impacts the local service for the remainder of the day, particularly the Eardington service.
