We have now swapped the wheelsets on the Steam Heat van and it is to be sold "As is" or, if not, then we will be breaking it and selling any parts and disposing of the remains.

We have had one person look at the Steam Heat Van but he does not want to proceed so it is still for sale. The price is £250 and take it away.
We will be breaking it in July if it is still on site.

    Hi Graham
The boiler seems to have some encased insulation but we can remove the boiler first. It would be best if you came to Rothley to view and decide, but time is short.

Ecclesbourne Valley Railway have two (one owned by the railway, one owned by an individual) both of which have hinted on social media that if someone approached them to buy, they'd listen!

One was being outfitted as a PWay vehicle and the other was being parted out but work has apparently stalled on the better one. Both were Severn Tunnel vehicles and heavily modified. Rehabilitating them back to passenger use would be throwing good money after bad. The Llanelli & Mynydd Mawr Railway is/was restoring a Sandite 122 and thats been an uphill battle with its many deviations from standard.

One of them isn't so much a 121 but a collection of metal held together with green mold. I did find that Bodmin was considering selling their ex Chiltern one back in January but doesn't seem to have sold or they didn't want to sell.

It was, as I understand it, an asset they were willing to sell if a decent offer came in, but also based on whether the pannier and autocoach sold. I dare say they would still be open to interested parties on the bubblecar but that's just my assumption. Never hurts to ask anyway.

I expect that if you rocked up at Bodmin with £80,000 in cash you may be able to do a deal. Money talks!

Our Steam heat van is now being stripped but the underframe and running gear is still complete. So a possible use under a historic short wooden bodied carriage?? Still for sale @£250 and take it away.
