Thanks, better than my tenuous links as the title does include "Train". There was another title that I thought it better not to use (for obvious reasons), Keep the Customer Satisfied.

    Email received today:

Pathfinder Railtours are delighted to announce that D1015 Western Champion has successfully passed its loaded mainline test run on Sunday. We can also confirm that the locomotive is now cleared to haul 'The English Riviera Airshow' rail excursion on Saturday 1st June.

The train will be timed to run at 75mph with load 12 and a Class 50 on the rear for insurance. We are told that this will be common practice for every railtour with D1015 moving forward.

Tour information (not yet updated with the above):

A 50 should be a popular choice on that one.

Seems to be causing a debate on wnxx, as is the unclear "rule" it seems about only leaving your seat to go to the buffet or toilet.

Popped down the road to Shrivenham to catch D1015 flying past, heading to Paignton. Lovely bit of Maybach Music to start the day! If you watch the video, I hope you enjoy it :)

Anybody else from Nat Pres booked on "The Grampian Highlander" over the Bank Holiday weekend? Three full days with 50007 and 50049 in their new Large Logo liveries. Highlights (for me) include being the first railtour over the newly re-opened Leven branch, both the Tay and the Forth bridges, plus Standedge Tunnel. I personally can't wait!
