Following on from @Jamessquared comment about 323 being in operation for at least part of every decade since it was built are there any other locomotives that come to mind?
    I’ve nominated 44871 and 45407
@flying scotsman123 has nominated 1450 and 3205 has anyone anymore to add?

45428 has been a virtual constant on NYMR so would've thought that could be in with a shout?

Seem to remember it had several turns on the Northern Belle in 2020 and 21. Happy to be corrected though.

I could be mistaken too, off out in a bit but I’ll have a look when I get back.

Y7 No 1310 is a possibility to rival 323. Built in 1891 and sold off by the LNER in 1933 it continued in industrial service until 1965. In preservation it has definitely run in the 60's, 70's, 90's, 00's, 10's and 20's. Not sure about the 80's and need to check up on this decade.

On the diesel side, HE 1697 has run more or less continuously since it was built in 1932. It spent a couple of years in the NRM but was in full working order during that time. HC D577, also of 1932, can come close as well but it spent some time on the Severn Valley and I don't think it saw much use whilst there.

Edit: having checked, 1310 DIDN'T steam in the 1980's. Shame about that.:(

What about 62005, has that managed every decade?

I know that we are talking about steam locos here but here is a BR diesel loco with a slightly unusual claim to fame 67-3-13 2 D2133 copy (2) copy.jpg

The loco in question is D2133 seen here shunting a demolition train under the shadow of Glastonbury Tor in March 1967. It has spent its entire working life in Somerset. It went new in 1960 to Taunton, was withdrawn from there in 1969 and sold to the British Cellophane factory in nearby Bridgwater. They retired it in the 1990s and gifted it to the West Somerset Railway where it has been in use ever since as the Minehead station pilot. Thats over sixty years in Somerset and still working there.

I was going to say the J15/Y14 on the NNR but I think it missed out the ‘90s…

If it hadn't been out of order of late, I'd be tempted to suggest 35029 as a candidate - even if "operation" has two different meanings.

Not currently a working loco but HC 1309 Henry de Lacy II has never left Leeds in its 105 years. Built by Hudswell Clarke in Hunslet, it went, presumably by rail, the 6½ miles to Kirkstall Forge where it spent the next 52 years before returning the 7 miles back to Hunslet and the Middleton Railway. Has any other loco ventured less distance than this?
